BUILDING REGULATIONS: TMVs demanded from October

A new edition of Part G (Sanitation, Hot Water and Water Efficiency) of the Building Regulations for England and Wales comes into force in October 2009, requiring that baths in new-build homes be fitted with a protective device, such as a thermostatic mixing valve (TMV), to limit the temperature of hot water at the bath outlet to a safe maximum.
